"Christmas Unwrapped"
This was the first play that I ever directed.
This is the story of the employees of Bertha's Holiday Emporium. They all come in for work the day after Christmas and brace themselves for the onslaught of returns, all with different attitudes. Bertha (left) is the store manager and is rather used to all the hassle of Christmas and seems not to care either way anymore. After all, Christmas is just about making money. Noelle (right) is the bubbly type who dresses for and is all about the season of Christmas (just don't mention anything bad about Santa, that is sacrilige).
Holly (left) is the calm type who celebrated just by being with her family and going to church. Ole (right) is the eccentric security guard who doesn't think that anyone will see past his fake mustache as he CLOSELY follows the customers to make sure that they don't steal anyhting.
Things get heated when the customers finally arrive to return their horrible Christmas experiences. With complaints ranging from a blown out fuse, to getting underwear in the stocking, the customers cause all sorts of problems for the employees. Even after the store closes the heat is still on. Two personalities clash and the wedge driven between them leads them to a discovery that they never would have expected to make the day after Christmas.
