Arthur
Arthur is an animated children's television program that debuted on September 2, 1996 on PBS Kids.
Arthur focuses on the lives of 8-year-old Arthur Read, an aardvark, and his family and friends. The show is noted for emphasizing the values of friendships and family relationships. In recent times, the show has also begun a focus on serious social/health-related issues that affect youth, like the death of a pet, dyslexia, cancer, Asperger's syndrome, and Alzheimer's disease.
Arthur is the longest-running animated children's TV series of all time (and the second longest-running of all time, behind The Simpsons).
In 2004, Arthur produced a spin-off, Postcards from Buster, which also aired on PBS Kids until 2008.
